Cumbria Neuropsychology provides highly specialist neuropsychological rehabilitation for adults with an acquired brain injury (ABI) and their families. This may include cognitive rehabilitation, behaviour management and psychological therapy for emotional difficulties.
Neuropsychological rehabilitation and psychological therapy are effective in maximising recovery following neurological injury or illness. By applying a scientific understanding of brain injury and rehabilitation, and with over 20 years of clinical experience we help individuals and their families recover and adapt following neurological injury/illness.

This may involve a full neuropsychological assessment in the first instance to determine the nature of cognitive impairment before proceeding to assess a person’s mental capacity to make a specific decision.
For example, we can provide assessments of mental capacity to make decisions relating to finances, court of protection, litigation, and capacity to make health and welfare decisions.
We can also provide expert witness reports in relation to personal injury, medical negligence and occupational health.
